Todos Santoa Plaza is a main attraction in the downtown area, encompassing an entire city block. It is known for its farmers market, free summer concerts, and a variety of surrounding restaurants. Some of the area surrounding downtown has been redeveloped with high-density apartment and condominium projects. BART is easily accessible from downtown. 

At the northern edge of Concord is the industrial area with refineries and the Military Ocean Terminal (formerly Concord Naval Weapons Station).
